Kansas man seriously injured after July 4 boating accident in Missouri

WARSAW, Missouri (KCTV) — A Kansas family’s boating trip ended in serious injuries on July 4 after a man was struck by a propeller on Lake of the Ozarks.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports that just before 3:30 p.m. on Thursday, July 4, emergency crews were called to mile marker 36 on the Osage Arm of Lake of the Ozarks for a report of a boating accident.

When rescuers arrived, they found that Patrick C. Lee, 54, of Manhattan, Kansas, had jumped from the stern of a 2015 Regal boat piloted by Aidan R. Lee, 22, also of Manhattan.

MSHP stated that Lee was struck by the boat’s propeller and critically injured. He was transported to Lake Regional Hospital for medical treatment.
