Man killed in shooting on Miller Boulevard, Madison police say

This is apparently an isolated case: the victim and the perpetrator knew each other.

MADISON, Ala. — Madison police are asking the public for information on an apparent fatal shooting that occurred late Wednesday night. Police responded to a call about a shooting in the area of ​​Miller Blvd., north of Old Madison Pike, around 11:30 p.m.

Police found a man lying on the ground suffering from suspected gunshot wounds. The man was rushed to Huntsville Hospital, where he later died.

“The Madison Police Department is actively investigating the shooting as a homicide and is following up on all leads,” the department said in a written statement. “This appears to be an isolated incident and there is reason to believe the victim and perpetrator knew each other.”
