Heavy police presence on Dewey Avenue after two RPD cars were damaged

ROCHESTER, NY – There is a heavy Rochester police presence on several blocks of Dewey Avenue after two RPD cars were damaged.

An RPD car was towed with heavy front damage and another car struck the curb near Glenwood Avenue. Police closed Dewey Avenue from Emerson Street to Lexington Avenue.

The News10NBC crew hears there was some sort of chase that ended in a crash. Our crew saw at least 20 police cars rush to the scene and saw officers surrounding a home.

There is still no information about the reason for the police operation or any injuries. This is a development story.
