Nearly dead coyote pup found at Titusville police station

TITUSVILLE, Florida. – A young coyote pup was found nearly dead at the Titusville Police Department Monday night, but was nursed back to health by WILD Florida Rescue.

WILD Florida Rescue posted an update on the young coyote’s progress on Facebook on Tuesday.

The organization said the coyote was “very thin, covered in ticks, and quite weak and sick” when it arrived.

The puppy was taken to Eau Gallie Veterinary Hospital for treatment for roundworms and malnutrition, and according to rescue workers, he is now doing much better.

The coyote is still in the care of WILD Florida Rescue, where his progress is being closely monitored and he will remain there until his health is stabilized.

The conservation organization reported that if the next phase of care goes well, she will join three other coyote pups her age in another area of ​​the care center for several months. After that, they will be released onto a very large private property, according to WILD Florida Rescue.
