Fatal accident leads to closure of Abercorn Street in south Savannah

Savannah Police are on the scene of a fatal crash on Savannah’s south side. Abercorn Street between Eisenhower Drive and Mall Boulevard is currently closed to traffic. The crash occurred around 6 a.m. Wednesday morning. Motorists are asked to avoid the area. Vehicles can travel east and west on Eisenhower Drive, but Abercorn Street will remain closed while police investigate and clear the crash scene. Savannah police are on the scene of a fatal crash on Savannah’s south side.

Abercorn Street between Eisenhower Drive and Mall Boulevard is currently closed to traffic.

The accident occurred on Wednesday morning around 6 a.m. Drivers are asked to avoid the area.
