Terrapin Brewery Partners With Atlanta Braves Legend Andruw Jones

Maybe you enjoyed a cold beer at the ballpark while watching Andruw Jones make one of his iconic diving catches in center field in the 1990s and early 2000s.

Now, baseball’s favorite adult beverage is teaming up with one of the greatest baseball players to ever walk the field.

Athens-based Terrapin Brewing has teamed up with the Atlanta Braves legend to create “Diving Catch,” a crisp, 5% ABV kolsch beer that features a “hint of Curacao orange” in a nod to Jones’ birth country of Curacao.

“The beer is refreshing, light and citrusy with 5% ABV and features Jones’ name on the field,” said Dustin Watts, Terrapin co-president. “Jones even had a direct hand in brewing the beer.”

Jones is a 10-time Gold Glove winner and had his No. 25 retired by the Braves organization last September.

Currently, Diving Catch Kolsch is only available at Athens Beer Bar and Terrapin Beer Bar in Truist Park.

Terrapin has a long-standing partnership with the Atlanta Braves. The company produces a Mexican lager, Los Bravos, and Chopsecutioner, a Braves-inspired take on its popular Hopsecutioner IPA.
