OKLAHOMA CITY (KFOR) – A man was arrested following a fatal stabbing on Friday.

According to Oklahoma City police, the incident occurred around 5 p.m. near NW 23rd St. and MacArthur Blvd.


Officers said they responded to reports of a stabbing at the intersection. When they arrived, they found a dead man at the scene.

Investigators found that a fight broke out between two men near the road. One of them, 28-year-old William Avila, pulled out a knife and stabbed the other.

According to OKCPD, Avila left the scene on foot, but was found and arrested a short time later. He was taken to a nearby hospital and will be booked into the Oklahoma County Detention Center on murder charges upon his release.
