Pakistani men sentenced to deportation from Dubai for raping their roommate

A court in Dubai has sentenced two Pakistani workers to three months in prison and subsequent deportation for sexually abusing a colleague.

The incident occurred on February 3, 2024 in a shared room in a delivery room accommodation.

The court found that the two defendants who shared the room with the victim planned the assault. One of the defendants threatened the victim with a knife and forced the other defendant to carry out the sexual assault.

The attack was interrupted by a roommate who heard the victim’s cries for help. This led to the arrest of the two defendants.

The prosecution presented compelling evidence, including eyewitness accounts and forensic analysis, linking the second defendant to the crime.
