Man shot in apartment near UofL campus

LOUISVILLE, Kentucky – A young man is dead after being shot multiple times in an apartment near the University of Louisville Tuesday morning.

At around 12:30 a.m., Louisville Metro Police responded to a report of a shooting at an apartment complex in the 1500 block of Bellamy Place, according to an LMPD news release.

Officers on scene found a man in his late teens or early twenties with multiple gunshot wounds inside an apartment. Louisville Police and Louisville Fire Department attempted to save his life, but unfortunately he was pronounced dead at the scene.
