Popular royal hospitalized after ‘scary incident’ on estate

Princess Anne, King Charles‘ younger sister, was hospitalized after a “frightening incident” occurred at her Gatcombe Park estate in Gloucestershire, England, on Sunday evening (June 23).

Accordingly E!NewsThe 73-year-old suffered minor injuries, including (but possibly not limited to) a concussion. Buckingham Palace issued a statement on Monday morning (June 24) regarding the current health of the popular royal.

“Her Royal Highness remains at Southmead Hospital in Bristol for observation as a precautionary measure and is expected to make a speedy and full recovery. The King has been kept updated and joins the entire Royal Family in sending the Princess his warmest love and best wishes for a speedy recovery.”

While the exact cause of the injury has not yet been determined, it is known that the princess will be absent from her royal duties for the rest of the week, including a “banquet on June 25 in honor of the Japanese Emperor Naruhito.“Just last week, Princess Anne took part in the annual Trooping the Colour parade on horseback with the rest of the Royal Family, including her older brother, and both appeared to be in high spirits.

Princess Anne continues to recover at Southmead Hospital in Bristol and the whole world is hoping for a speedy recovery.
