Buffalo Bills’ DaQuan Jones says new look D-line is ‘coming together’

The Buffalo Bills have highlighted roster changes at the point guard positions on both sides of the ball this offseason.

The defensive line can also be integrated into it.

The 2024 NFL Draft saw DeWayne Carter (third round) and Javon Solomon (fifth round) heading to Buffalo. The Bills also dove into free agency, adding names like Casey Toohill and Dawuane Smoot.

Because of all these new faces, the coaching staff decided to take advantage of everything they could, even having players practice on the third and final day of minicamp this spring. In the past, head coach Sean McDermott has given them the day off.

“A high percentage of new players, new faces. The more reps we can get, the better,” McDermott said. “I appreciate (the players’) efforts.”

“It’s going to be a tough (training) camp,” McDermott added.

From a player’s perspective, this is understandable.

Veteran DaQuan Jones has been in Buffalo for two seasons and he can see all the turnovers.

For this reason, Jones explained that the players do their best off the field to further strengthen their relationship.

“I think the D-line rally has been huge. We got together last night,” Jones said at minicamp.
