County police are investigating the crash at US30 and Hawthorn Road

Emergency crews were dispatched to US 30 and Hawthorn Road for a two-vehicle crash on Monday afternoon, May 6, at 4:20 p.m.

The accident occurred when 70-year-old Dolores Lentner was traveling east on US 30 in a 2016 Ford F150 and turned north onto Hawthorn Road, striking a 2019 Acura MDX driven by the 42nd -year-old Vivek Kapurala was driven. Kapurala was taken west on US 30 and taken to Plymouth Hospital with minor injuries. The three other occupants of Kapurala’s vehicle were not injured.

The Marshall County Sheriff’s Department was assisted by the Indiana State Police and Plymouth Fire and EMS.
