Rape in Queens: Suspect who attacked 13-year-old girl in Kissena Park to face trial

FLUSHING (WABC) — The man accused of raping a 13-year-old girl in Kissena Park in Queens is scheduled to go on trial today.

Geovanny Inga-landi, a 25-year-old Christian, was arrested after community members recognized him just hours after police released surveillance images.

A group tracked him down at a delicatessen in Corona, beat and kicked him, and held him until police arrived.

Charges are expected to be filed against the man accused of raping a 13-year-old girl in Queens.

Inga-landi will appear in Queens Criminal Court on Wednesday to face formal charges.

He was previously arrested in Eagle Pass, Texas, for illegal border crossing and has already received at least three summonses in New York City.
