WICHITA, Kansas (KSNW) – The City of Wichita has provided another update on the cybersecurity incident that occurred in early May.

“The City of Wichita reports that recovery efforts from the recent cybersecurity incident are progressing well,” the city said. “Most publicly accessible systems are now back in service, with a few exceptions.”

Customers are expected to receive updated billing statements this week as water metering, billing and payment processing systems come back online.

Customers should now have access to their online service accounts.

Automatic payments will work as normal. Bills can also be paid by credit card, cash, check or money order by visiting City Hall, accessing your account online, calling 265-1300 or writing to us.

Due to the cybersecurity incident, some invoices in June will relate to more than 60 days of service.

If a payment arrangement is required, you can call 265-1300 to speak to a representative who will set up a payment plan for you.

Answers to frequently asked questions about paying your water bill can be found online.

The Wichita Public Library offers Wi-Fi at every location, as well as Libby and the ability to manually check in and check out materials. All currently available services can be found online.

Public flight and gate information will soon be displayed at Wichita Dwight D. Eisenhower National Airport.

The municipal court is expected to post public search warrants online on Monday. The city says although most court systems are online, it encourages residents to call 268-4345 to verify court dates, fees or other information.

All other resident systems should be working. Check wichita.gov/alert for system updates.

The Wichita IT team continues to work to resolve any remaining system outages.
