2 people shot in a house in Deerfield Beach

BROWARD COUNTY, Florida. – Detectives with the Broward Sheriff’s Office are investigating after two people were shot and killed in a Deerfield Beach home and another person was found injured in the street Thursday morning.

According to BSO, officers responded to reports of a shooting at approximately 5:45 a.m. near the 4000 block of Eastridge Drive.

When they arrived, authorities said they found a man on the street suffering from a gunshot wound.

According to investigators, Broward Sheriff’s Fire Department rescue personnel took the man to a nearby hospital for treatment.

Officials said they found two people shot while searching the home where the shooting was reported.

According to BSO, there does not appear to be any ongoing threat to the community at this time.

Authorities have not released any information about the people involved in the shooting and the motive is currently unclear.
