PORTSMOUTH, Virginia – A man was found shot to death in Portsmouth early Tuesday morning, police said.

Portsmouth police said officers responded to a 911 call in the 900 block of Horne Avenue around 1:20 a.m. When police arrived, they found a man suffering from a gunshot wound. The man was taken to the hospital for treatment.
