Las Vegas police investigate fatal shooting near Eastern, Charleston

LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — Las Vegas police are investigating after a person was found shot to death in a Central Valley residence. Police said several people have been arrested.

According to the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department, officers found a person inside a residence in the 2000 block of Peyton Drive, near South Eastern Avenue and East Charleston Boulevard, around 5:30 a.m.

Police reported that the person had multiple gunshot wounds. Paramedics arrived on the scene and pronounced the victim dead.

Officers arrested “multiple” people believed to be involved in the shooting. Police did not release any further details about the victim or the people arrested.

Police are asking the public to avoid the area during the investigation.
