The Gulf County Sheriff’s Office is investigating an incident of aggravated assault

GULF COUNTY, Fla. (WMBB) – The Gulf County Sheriff’s Office is investigating an aggravated assault incident Saturday.

Gulf County officials said the incident occurred in the 7200 block of Americus Ave at St. Joe Beach, and officers arrived on the scene just before 10 a.m.

One victim was taken to the hospital by ambulance, officials wrote.

Investigators said they are looking for the suspect, who drove away from the scene in a blue golf cart, possibly with a tan top, and was last seen driving south on Americus Avenue.

The suspect is a white male who was last seen wearing shorts and a tank top. Investigators say he is believed to be in his 30s or 40s and may have a leg injury.
