2 police officers and civilians injured in plane crash in Babylon

Two police officers and a civilian were injured in an accident in Babylon on Thursday afternoon, officials said.

It happened around 1:55 p.m. when a police vehicle responded to a 911 call. Officials said the officers were traveling on Cadman Avenue when their patrol car struck another vehicle at the intersection with Park Avenue. The police vehicle then crashed into a tree.

The two officers in the police vehicle and the driver of the other vehicle were taken to Good Samaritan University Hospital for treatment of injuries, which were not considered life-threatening.

A passenger in the civilian vehicle was uninjured.
