Florida woman arrested for alleged election fraud in Kansas in connection with the “No Labels” party

TOPEKA (KSNT) – A Florida woman is under arrest in connection with an alleged voter fraud case in Kansas tied to a new political party.

Kansas Attorney General Kris Kobach announced in a press release that a 47-year-old woman from Dade City, Florida, was arrested by police in Nebraska on May 29. Her arrest is in connection with the alleged forging of signatures to help the No Labels political party become officially registered in the state of Kansas.

“As Attorney General, I am committed to prosecuting voter fraud to the fullest extent of the law,” Kobach said. “It doesn’t matter how far you run. We will bring you back to Kansas and prosecute you. The people of Kansas deserve the safest election possible.”

The arrest follows an extensive investigation by the Kansas Attorney General’s Office with assistance from law enforcement agencies in Nebraska and Kansas. The Secretary of the State (SOS) initially referred the potential evidence of election fraud to those law enforcement agencies for investigation.

The woman is facing multiple counts of voter fraud in Johnson County District Court, including one count of election perjury and 18 counts of voter fraud. She is currently being held in Nebraska pending extradition to Johnson County.

“As I have always said, my office is committed to pursuing all evidence of voter fraud. Kansas has strong laws to ensure the integrity of our elections, and this case shows that the process works,” said Kansas Secretary of State Scott Schwab.

No Labels became an officially recognized political party in Kansas in January 2024. Another man from Dade City, Florida, was arrested in February 2024 on allegations of voter fraud. 27 News had previously asked the SOS office if this earlier case would impact the party’s status in Kansas.
