Palestinian arrested, accused of stabbing victim with kitchen knife

PALESTINE, Texas (KLTV) – A man was arrested after a stabbing at a home in Palestine last Monday.

According to a Palestinian police press release, an officer was called to the Palestine Regional Medical Center at around 2:20 a.m. following a report of a stabbing. The press release said one victim at the hospital was suffering from multiple stab wounds.

The investigation led officers to the 500 block of Fort Street, where they said they spoke with several witnesses. The information they received allowed them to identify Marvin Osarius Villalobos-Flores, 19, of Palestine, as the suspect. He was still at the scene and officers arrested him without incident. They also recovered the kitchen knife used in the robbery, the release said.

Villalobos-Flores was charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and booked into the Anderson County Jail. His bail was set at $100,000.

According to police, the victim is expected to survive.
