Columbia man charged with aggravated sexual exploitation of a minor – TBINewsroom.com

MAURY COUNTY – A man who was arrested earlier this year as part of the large-scale joint operation “Operation Protecting Tomorrow” against online child exploitation and sexual extortion in the US state of Tennessee is now facing further charges after child sexual abuse material was found on devices in his possession.

Cody J. Wilson (born November 11, 1992) was one of a dozen people arrested as part of the joint investigation with special agents from the TBI ICAC (Internet Crimes Against Children) Task Force and the United States Secret Service. Wilson was indicted on February 16.th with incitement of sexual abuse of a minor and incitement of sexual abuse of a minor – exploitation of a minor by electronic means. Following Wilson’s initial arrest, a search of his electronic devices revealed that he had distributed and shared child sexual abuse material (CSAM) on various online platforms. Some of the materials depicted sexual abuse of children in infancy.

Agents of the TBI ICAC Task Force today arrested Wilson, originally from the Columbiaville, Michigan area, and charged him with aggravated sexual abuse of a minor. He was booked into the Maury County Jail with the assistance of the U.S. Secret Service, Homeland Security Investigations, and the Maury County Sheriff’s Office. He is being held on $75,000 bail.
