Police seek witnesses to fatal accident on I-94 – Macomb Daily

Clinton Township Police are seeking witnesses to the fatal pedestrian accident.

Clinton Township Police are investigating a fatal traffic accident involving a single
vehicle, a gold 2001 Mercury Mountaineer, and is looking for anyone who may have witnessed the incident.

The accident occurred on Thursday, May 30, at approximately 9:49 p.m. on I-94 westbound on Exit 234 southbound onto Harper Avenue. The exit is located near 15 Mile Road.

The preliminary investigation indicates that a male driver was traveling west on I-94. However, it is not known
at this point, the driver attempted to exit the highway via the exit ramp. The vehicle traveled south off the exit ramp, down an embankment, overturned, and the driver was ejected.

The driver was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident. It is not known whether drugs or alcohol were involved.
