Attempted rape: Woman claims employer tried to rape her | News from Gurgaon

Gurgaon: A 23-year-old woman, who works in a furniture shop near Atul Kataria Chowk, claims that her employer took her to his house, undressed her and tried to rape her. He let her go only when she screamed for help. The woman, a resident of Sheetla Colony, said that on May 16, when she was looking for a job, she approached the 70-year-old furniture shop owner to enquire about a job opportunity. According to police, on May 25, when she reached the furniture shop, the accused forcibly forced her into his car and took her to his house near Subhash Chowk. “After we reached his house, he forcibly undressed me and tried to rape me. When I started screaming for help, he finally let me go and threatened me not to narrate the incident. With the help of the driver, I managed to reach home,” she claimed. Based on the woman’s complaint, a case was registered under relevant sections of the IPC. tnn
