A weather warning was issued for North Texas on Wednesday

NORTH TEXAS – Severe weather is possible on Wednesday afternoon and evening and more unsettled weather is expected on Thursday.

Temperatures reached 91° in DFW on Wednesday afternoon. This is the hottest day in over two months and only the second time this year with a high in the 90s.

A weather warning has been issued for Wednesday. Temperatures are also expected to reach 90°.

Another spring day and another “marginal” risk for parts of North Texas. It’s been a very active storm season in North Texas and there is another slight risk for part of North Texas on Wednesday.

A dry zone and a cold front will lead to storms on Wednesday. The greatest risk is between 4 p.m. and 9 p.m.

Large hailstones and damaging winds will be the main threat. Isolated tornadoes are also possible.

Further storms are expected on Thursday and a weather warning could be issued that day. A cold front will mean increased rainfall for North Texas. Thursday’s severe threat currently extends to our southern counties.

There will be a break from rain and storms on Friday and Saturday. But come Mother’s Day on Sunday, we’re immediately thrown back into a deluge of unsettled weather. The chance of rain remains in the forecast until the middle of next week.
