Possibility of Memorial Day storms in North Texas, with air quality warning and high temperatures

Even though a cold front is moving across North Texas, temperatures will continue to be hot on Memorial Day (Monday), reaching highs of 35 degrees.

A heat advisory is in effect for areas south and east of the metroplex until 8 p.m. Monday. Heat index values ​​in this area will rise to 40 to 42 degrees.

In addition, an air quality warning (Ozone Action Day) is in effect for the Dallas-Fort Worth region due to weaker winds.

From Tuesday onwards the weather will be unsettled again, with daily thunderstorms possible until Saturday. In North Texas there is a possibility of heavy rain in the coming week.
