44-year-old man dead after incident on Saturday in Grand Blanc | News

GRAND BLANC TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WJRT) – ABC12 has new information about a law enforcement response in Grand Blanc Township that closed a portion of Dort Highway on Saturday.

According to a community police release, officers were dispatched to the 5300 block of South Dort Highway at 1:30 p.m. for a domestic disturbance involving a firearm.

In response, Dort was closed north of Saginaw Road.

A 57-year-old woman reported that her husband attacked her and had a gun, and she heard a gunshot as she left the house.

The Michigan State Police Emergency Response Team was called to assist and determined that a 44-year-old man had died inside the home.

The woman was taken to a nearby hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
