Bay Area swim coach accused of sending sexually explicit content to minors

A swim coach from California’s Bay Area was arrested after allegedly sending sexually explicit content to minors.

Anthony Daly28, was arrested on July 18 in San Mateo, California, after a San Jose Police Department investigation found that he sent inappropriate messages to an underage female between July and September 2023.

Daly was the victim’s swim coach at the Milpitas Aquatic Club at the time.

In January 2024, authorities received a report of a suspicious adult male sending inappropriate messages to an underage female. Detectives from the San Jose Police Department’s Child Exploitation Detail Task Force (ICAC) launched an investigation.

He is no longer listed as a member of the coaching staff on the Milpitas Aquatic Club website.

Without aggravating circumstances, harassing or molesting a minor is a misdemeanor punishable under California law by up to one year in prison and a $5,000 fine.
