Tuscaloosa police investigate fatal shooting at downtown hotel

Here’s what we know about an ongoing homicide investigation in downtown Tuscaloosa.

TUSCALOOSA, AL — A man was found dead of a gunshot wound outside a downtown Tuscaloosa hotel Saturday night, according to Tuscaloosa police.

TPD spokeswoman Stephanie Taylor told Patch that officers were called to a parking lot behind the Embassy Suites hotel at 9:11 p.m. Saturday night.

The Tuscaloosa Violent Crimes Unit has taken over the investigation.
