Nick Carter faces a third sexual assault charge. The woman claims he abused her when she was 15 years old.

The unnamed woman filed a complaint in Las Vegas on Monday. According to documents obtained by PEOPLE, the 43-year-old Backstreet Boys member sexually harassed her several times in 2003. Carter’s lawyer denies the allegations in a statement to PEOPLE.

In the filing, the woman, identified as “AR,” claims that Carter sexually assaulted her on a yacht and “knowingly” performed “sexual acts” without her consent. She also claims he “instructed” her to keep it “secret” and did not use protection.

In another case, which also occurred on a yacht, she claims he “knowingly gave her alcohol and drugs” and “enticed three other men” to watch him “having sexual intercourse with AR, who was a minor at the time, from an outside window in the cabin of Carter’s yacht.”

After allegedly having sexual intercourse, the three men “verbally abused” her, despite her “repeated refusals and requests to stop,” and told her they had witnessed the whole thing.

After the alleged assault, he allegedly infected her with HPV (human papillomavirus), a sexually transmitted disease. She also told her mother about the incident and reported the assault to the Southern York County police in Pennsylvania. She is now demanding $15,000 in damages.

“The effects of Carter’s sexual abuse are ongoing and have caused plaintiff severe emotional distress, physical anguish, intimacy issues, and other complex trauma,” the lawsuit states. It goes on to say, “Plaintiff has been harassed for decades by fans of Carter’s popular boy band, the Backstreet Boys.”

In a statement to PEOPLE, Carter’s attorney Dale Hayes called the allegations “false” and said he was “pleased” with the filing because it “ensures that all known co-conspirators will be tried together.”

“When AR first accused Nick Carter nearly two decades ago, authorities listened and investigated thoroughly – and then told AR that its allegations were baseless,” he says. “And now it’s doing it again. But repeating the same false allegations in a new lawsuit doesn’t make them any more true. Nick looks forward to the evidence being presented and the truth about these evil schemes coming to light.”

The new motion came after a judge ruled Wednesday that Carter’s defamation countersuit against Melissa Schuman, who previously accused him of raping her in his Santa Monica apartment in 2003 when she was 18 and he was 22, could proceed provided there was sufficient evidence.

In countersuit documents previously obtained by PEOPLE, Carter claims that Schuman and Shannon Ruth – who sued him in December for alleged sexual assault – exploited the #MeToo movement and used it to launch a five-year conspiracy to “defame and slander Carter and otherwise ruin his reputation in order to gain attention and fame and/or extort money from Carter.”

Schuman had previously filed an anti-SLAPP motion seeking to dismiss the musician’s countersuit, which was denied by Judge Nancy Allf.

The anti-SLAPP law is intended to prohibit lawsuits brought in retaliation against free speech through “costly, meritless litigation,” according to the Reporters Committee.

In his countersuit, Carter stated that he was convinced he had never met Ruth and denies both allegations.
