Police find human remains of presumed missing Roberta Martin from Enosburgh

Vermont State Police have found the body of a woman who was reported missing last week. Investigators said they discovered human remains in a wooded area off Sand Hill Road in Enosburgh just after 11 a.m. Sunday. Police said the remains are believed to belong to 82-year-old Roberta Martin. The body has been turned over to the coroner’s office. Martin’s family last spoke with her Tuesday evening. She was reported missing the following day when her neighbors couldn’t find her. A concerted search operation has been underway near her home on Butternut Hollow Road for days. Police say no one is currently in custody and the investigation is ongoing.
