Real Salt Lake’s Cristian “Chicho” Arango suspended for four games

Real Salt Lake standout striker Cristian “Chicho” Arango has been suspended for four games for violating Major League Soccer’s (MLS) anti-harassment policy. Neither MLS nor Real Salt Lake released specific details about the nature of the violation.

In an official statement, Real Salt Lake expressed its support for the league’s decision: “The club has fully cooperated with Major League Soccer’s investigation and accepts the disciplinary decision.”

Arango currently leads the MLS with 17 goals, tying Real Salt Lake’s single-season record set by Alvaro Saborio in 2012.

Due to the suspension, he will miss the following games: a regular season away game against Los Angeles FC on Wednesday, a game against the Colorado Rapids on Saturday, the MLS All-Star Game on July 24 and Real Salt Lake’s Leagues Cup home game against Atlas on August 1.
