Fatal two-vehicle crash on Cherry Avenue in Signal Hill

SIGNAL HILL, CA (July 16, 2024) – Two people died in a two-car crash on Cherry Avenue near 28th Street.

The Los Angeles County Fire Department confirmed that the accident occurred around 5:30 p.m. on Sunday, but they have not yet identified the cause of the collision between the two vehicles in Signal Hill. After the accident, paramedics from the Los Angeles County Fire Department arrived at the 2800 block of Cherry Avenue and confirmed that a driver and passenger of one vehicle were dead at the scene. One person who survived the accident was taken to a nearby hospital.

At this time, authorities have not released the identities of the fatalities or determined a cause, but they are continuing to investigate.
