Buffalo Skyway will be closed on Sunday, July 21 for the Buffalo Skyride

BUFFALO, NY — If you’re traveling the Skyway, be prepared to take an alternate route on Sunday, July 21, for a scheduled event.

The Skyway (Route 5) will be closed from 6 a.m. Sunday until noon to motor vehicles from I-190 to Ridge Road for the Buffalo Skyride.

The ramp connecting I-190S to the Skyway will also be closed.

Westbound Route 5 traffic will be detoured along Lower Terrace, Pearl Street, Scott Street, Michigan Avenue, South Park Avenue, Abbott Road and Ridge Road. Eastbound Route 5 traffic will be detoured along Ridge Road, Abbott Road, South Park Avenue, Smith Street to I-190.
