Police are looking for the driver suspected to be involved in the accident


COEUR d’ALENE – Coeur d’Alene police are asking for the public’s help in identifying the driver of a white Honda Pilot believed to have been involved in a personal injury crash on Tuesday.

A driver of a Jeep Liberty told police he was heading north on Fourth Street toward Spokane Avenue around 3:10 p.m. when a Honda Pilot suddenly turned left, forcing him to swerve abruptly to avoid a collision .

Police said the Jeep accidentally hit a young woman before coming to a stop in the Runge Furniture parking lot. According to police, the woman suffered serious injuries and was taken to Kootenai Health.

“The driver of the Honda Pilot pulled into the Runge parking lot immediately after the incident but did not stop,” police said.
