» Fatal car accident in Lake Park

Lake Park, IA (KICD) – The Iowa State Patrol announced that a 19-year-old Sioux Center woman was killed in a car crash in Dickinson County over the weekend.
Edith Lupercio-Lopez was a passenger in a car driven by 18-year-old Teagan Vos of Sheldon that went off the road south of Lake Park around 10 p.m. Saturday.

According to the Iowa State Patrol, Vos was traveling north on county road M-27 and missed a curve just south of Highway 9 where the road turns east.
The car overturned at least once.
Vos was taken to Spirit Lake Hospital with life-threatening injuries. Both she and Lupercio-Lopez were wearing seat belts.
The Iowa State Patrol was assisted on scene by the Dickinson County Sheriff’s Department and Lake Park Police.
