Police chase in Enfield with stolen vehicle

ENFIELD, Connecticut — Two teens were arrested in Enfield on Wednesday after leading police officers on a chase in a stolen vehicle, according to the city’s police department.

On Wednesday around 3 p.m., officers received a complaint that suspects were attempting to break into parked vehicles in the Tolland Drive area, police said.

According to police, a gray Dodge Durango and a red Chevrolet SUV fled the scene while officers checked the area and began a chase.

After officers disengaged from the vehicles, which police said was state policy, an Enfield officer used a device to deflate the Durango’s tires and brought it to a stop on Interstate 91 South.

Police said an officer pursued three suspects on foot as they fled the scene into the woods. Two juveniles were arrested, and the third suspect is still missing.

According to police, investigators found that the Durango was stolen on David Street in Enfield.

The Enfield Police Department’s canine unit and drone units responded to the incident, assisted by East Windsor Police, Hartford Police and Connecticut State Police.
