Investigation into shooting in downtown Pittsburgh

Police are investigating after a man was seen firing a gun on a busy downtown Pittsburgh street Monday night. According to Pittsburgh Public Safety, police were dispatched to the 500 block of Liberty Avenue around 7:45 p.m. for a report of shots fired. There, witnesses told them a man shot at least twice at some people standing outside a business. He then fled on foot with a group of young people toward Liberty Avenue. Video shows the suspect, believed to be in his late teens to early 20s, walking up and firing a semi-automatic pistol. No one was reportedly injured. This story will develop. Police are investigating after a man was seen firing a gun on a busy downtown Pittsburgh street Monday night.

According to Pittsburgh Public Safety, police were called to the 500 block of Liberty Avenue around 7:45 p.m. for reports of shots fired.

There, witnesses reported that a man had shot at least twice at some people standing in front of a store. He then fled on foot with a group of young people toward Liberty Avenue.

A video showed the suspect, believed to be in his late teens to early 20s, approaching him and firing a semi-automatic pistol.

There were no reports of anyone being injured.
