2 found dead in home in North Nashville, Tennessee: MNPD

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) – Two people were found dead overnight in a home on Cato Road, officials said.

According to the Metro Nashville Police Department (MNPD), officers were dispatched to the 4000 block of Cato Road just before 2 a.m. on Saturday, June 29, after receiving reports that a man had attacked a woman and pointed a gun at her.

Police then said they received a call around 2 a.m. from another person who said a man had shot a woman and then himself.

Authorities reported that a man and a woman were pronounced dead at the scene. The circumstances of their deaths remain under investigation.

Detectives from the Homicide and Domestic Violence Unit reportedly arrived at the scene to begin the investigation and interview a possible witness.
