KANSAS CITY, Mo. (WDAF) – As Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Rashee Rice deals with criminal and civil cases related to a high-speed chain reaction accident in late March, multiple media outlets in Dallas are reporting that he is under investigation for alleged assault Photographer in a nightclub on Monday.

Television stations WFAA and The Dallas Morning News cite law enforcement sources saying Rice is suspected of punching a photographer at Lit Kitchen.

According to the Morning News, officers went to the nightclub around 2:30 a.m. Monday morning where a man was taken to a hospital with a facial injury. No report states whether Rice has spoken to investigators; No charges have been filed so far.

This all comes amid Rice’s ongoing legal issues related to the crash. An arrest document states that Rice was driving a Lamborghini at 119 miles per hour seconds before a six-car collision occurred that left him at risk of serious bodily injury, one collision causing serious bodily injury and six collisions causing injury.

Theodore Knox, 21, was driving a Corvette that Rice owns and was also involved in the accident. He faces the same charges, and all of these charges are felonies.

Rice turned herself in about a week and a half after the accident and posted bail. It is unknown how this investigation will impact his bond conditions, but Nexstar’s WDAF is working to gather those answers.

In addition to the charges, Rice and Knox also face multiple lawsuits from victims of the other vehicles totaling millions of dollars.
