Chocolate chip muffins recalled nationwide at ALDI due to undeclared walnuts – WGAU

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has announced the recall of approximately 11,830 boxes of Chocolate Chip Muffins (4 pieces) from ALDI Bakeshop.

The federal agency said the recall was due to undeclared walnuts in the muffins. The muffins were sold in ALDI stores nationwide.

The recalled muffins come in a clear plastic container and have a red label.

According to the FDA, the lot number on the top of the muffins is NF1 142Y and the UPC on the label is 4099100048278.

According to the FDA, the recall was initiated after it was discovered that the labels on muffins that contained walnuts did not disclose this. Production of the muffins has been suspended until ALDI and the FDA resolve the issue.

No illnesses have been reported in connection with the recalled product.

If you have recalled muffins, you are asked to return them to the ALDI store where you purchased them for a full refund. If you have any questions, you can email the company at [email protected].
