Monroe County couple arrested after leaving toddler alone on New York beach

MOUNT POCONO, Pennsylvania – A Mount Pocono couple was arrested in New York on child endangerment charges.

State police responded to reports that a toddler was left unattended on the beach at Lake George in upstate New York on Tuesday.

According to police, Paul and Mary Thorley allegedly left the child alone for 15 minutes to go boating on the lake.

The Monroe County couple will appear in court again in New York this week.
