Drake sues woman for extortion after she claims he sexually harassed her

Drake filed a lawsuit on Tuesday against Laquana Morris, known in the adult entertainment industry as Layla Lace. According to People, the rapper is seeking damages for civil extortion, fraud, defamation, abuse of process and intentional infliction of emotional distress.

Morris claimed that Drake impregnated her and sexually assaulted her in 2017, which the Toronto rapper vehemently denied.

In court documents obtained by TMZ, Drake said he met Morris in Manchester, England, in February 2017 during a stop on his Boy Meets World Tour. After the concert, he claimed the couple went to his hotel room, where they had consensual and protected sex, which she “performed willingly and seemingly with pleasure.”

The lawsuit says she continued texting the rapper in an attempt to pursue a relationship, and when he stopped responding, she allegedly contacted a mutual friend and said Drake had denied her a $1,600 flight she had booked to see him again.

In April 2017, Morris reportedly posted on Instagram and then deleted it: “So I guess it’s still the new thing these days that a guy won’t answer his phone when you tell him you’re pregnant. I feel so stupid… I never told that man ‘no’, I did everything he told me… ((NEVER)) did I ask him for a dime… But don’t worry, I’ll make sure I give you a blast.” She also threatened to leak messages between her and Drake.

The porn star then appeared on Sirius XM Shade 45 and told host Jazzie Belle she had been impregnated by the “Woes” rapper and claimed he had cut off contact with her. “It’s 100 percent certain. He knows. I’m just going to leave it at that. He basically said, ‘I’ll call you back’ and the calls just stopped.”

The following month, Morris allegedly demanded money for the unborn baby and damages after Drake claimed in an interview that he did not know her. However, she refused to take a paternity test, which Drake’s legal team noted in the current lawsuit.

Afterwards, Morris allegedly accused the global rap star of forcing her to perform oral sex against her will in Manchester. Although Manchester police acquitted Drake, they demanded money to keep him quiet.

“Drake refuses to let Layla get away with her malicious plot to extort millions of dollars from him by threatening to make salacious (and ever-changing) false allegations about actions that simply did not occur. … Layla and her attorneys underestimated Drake’s unwavering determination not to pay hush money to avoid negative publicity based on fabricated claims. He looks forward to holding Layla and those who work with her accountable for their egregious misconduct.”
