Mahoney is currently involved in the F3 Films project Fanfare, for which she wrote the screenplay.

Earlier this month, F3 Films announced its partnership with SilverScreen Pictures. Fanfare and A Big Easy Christmas were written by fellow New Orleans screenwriter Michael Perrone.

“I was disappointed that all films about women in midlife crises end with their deaths,” Mahoney explained. “And I love Thelma and Louisebut I thought, what if a woman left her life behind like men do all the time in midlife crisis movies? So I wrote this movie and when they announced the partnership, I wrote to Chuck, a friend, and said, ‘Hey, Chuck Bush, it’s Ann Mahoney and I have a great script for you.’ And he said, ‘I’d love to read it,’ and within a week I had the option.”
