Police say MTA bus drivers were attacked in two separate incidents

Two MTA bus passengers attacked their drivers in separate incidents, police said.

On Friday, police released pictures of the two suspects in the hope that someone will recognize them. One of the suspects was wearing a T-shirt that read “My feelings have feelings too” when she attacked her bus driver, injuring his knee, authorities said.

The most recent attack occurred on June 7, when a passenger wearing a ski mask on a B6 bus began arguing with a 36-year-old female driver as the bus jolted past the corner of Ashford St. and Cozine Ave. in East New York, Brooklyn, police said.

During the heated argument, the passenger punched the bus driver in the face as the vehicle stopped and the doors opened.

The masked attacker ran away. No arrests were made.

The bus driver suffered eye pain and was taken to Kings County Hospital for treatment, police said.

The second attack occurred on April 9 in Harlem, when a disorderly passenger attempted to throw something at a 64-year-old motorist as the city bus passed the corner of Adam Clayton Powell Blvd. and W. 143rd St. at around 6:40 p.m.

The bus driver hit the dashboard with his knee while trying to swerve and suffered minor injuries, police said. He was taken to Harlem Hospital for further treatment.

The suspect, wearing sunglasses and the “Feelings” shirt, exited the bus and was still at large.

Police are asking anyone with information about these two incidents to come forward. Calls can be directed to NYPD Crime Stoppers at (800) 577-TIPS. All calls will be treated confidentially.
