1 dead in car crash in Cheatham County, Tennessee

CHEATHAM COUNTY, Tenn. (WKRN) – One person died in a car crash in Cheatham County on Monday.

According to a preliminary report from the Tennessee Highway Patrol (THP), the incident involved only one 2021 Chevrolet Traverse. This vehicle was traveling west on Interstate 40 when it left the roadway near mile marker 185 and struck several trees before coming to a stop.

David Meadows, 51, died in the accident. He was wearing a seat belt. No further details were released.
