Man injured in farm accident south of Sauk Centre | Local news

(Getty Township, MN) – A man was injured in a tractor accident in Stearns County. The Stearns County Sheriff’s Office said officers were called to the farm accident in Getty Township, south of Sauk Centre, over the weekend.

When officers arrived at the scene, they found a 53-year-old man lying on the ground with leg injuries. According to the report, the man and others were attempting to back the tractor off a trailer when the trailer moved and the tractor rolled over backwards while the victim was operating it. Witnesses on scene were able to use a skid steer to lift the tractor off the man.

The victim was initially taken to Sauk Centre Hospital, but was later transferred by Life Link to St. Cloud Hospital for his injuries.

The incident remains under investigation.
