Power outage in Chennai: THESE areas will have power outages today, checklist

Chennai: There will be a power outage in some parts of Chennai in and around Thiruvanmiyur from 9 am to 3 pm on June 7 to carry out maintenance work on the 11 kV Indira Nagar feeder line. Once the work is completed, power supply will be restored before 3 pm.

According to reports, there will be power disruption on one side of LB Road, Kamaraj Nagar 6th to 12th East Street and Kamaraj Avenue, LB Road – OLYMPIA Apts, LB Road – Suraj and Chand Towers, LB Road – Ramaniyam Sanjivini and surrounding areas.

A cyclonic circulation over the southwestern Bay of Bengal around the northern coast of Tamil Nadu triggered rains and thunderstorms in various parts of the city since Wednesday afternoon. The city has been experiencing continuous moderate to heavy rains in several parts since the afternoon of June 5. The heavy rains led to traffic congestion and flooding in the southern outskirts of the city.
