Blaze Pizza is moving its headquarters from Pasadena to Atlanta – Pasadena Now

Pasadena-based Blaze Pizza plans to move its headquarters to Atlanta, according to National Restaurant News.

Blaze Pizza was founded in Pasadena in 2011 by Rick and Elise Wetzel, founders of Pasadena-based Wetzel’s Pretzels. The company has locations in Pasadena on Colorado Boulevard and Fair Oaks Avenue.

The company’s more than 7,500 restaurant employees across the company’s nearly 300 U.S. locations will not be affected by the decision.

In a statement, CEO Beta Guajardo said moving the headquarters to Atlanta will help us drive the company’s “next wave of growth.”

The company told the publication it plans to complete the move by early September.

Atlanta will serve as the base for operations, business development, marketing, finance, human resources and other departments.

According to the article, most of the company’s employees will work remotely and a small percentage will be offered relocation opportunities in Atlanta.

This announcement follows Blaze’s announcement that it is launching its “most significant menu overhaul in its history.” The menu includes new premium pizza toppings, snacks, salads and a new line of desserts. The company also recently strengthened its management team with a new director of development and a new director of operations.
