Woman claims famed psychiatrist Henry Jarecki raped her after Jeffrey Epstein sent her to him for help

A woman who claims she was sexually abused by Jeffrey Epstein has sued renowned psychiatrist and business magnate Henry Jarecki for rape and sex trafficking.

The unnamed woman, known in court documents as “Jane Doe 11,” filed a lawsuit in New York City on Monday alleging that the now 91-year-old “raped her multiple times” after Epstein sent her to him for treatment.

The complaint, which was first reported by The Wall Street Journal, claims that Jarecki “completely controlled” the woman’s life, “constantly monitored” her and threatened to “send her back to Epstein” if she rebelled.

It further alleges that Jarecki “played an integral role in Epstein’s sex trafficking scheme” by coping with the trauma Epstein inflicted on his victims while preventing them from seeking help or justice.

“Jarecki used his friendship with Epstein to recruit young women for abuse, usually initially as patients, knowing that these individuals were under Epstein’s complete control and were extremely vulnerable due to their employment or immigration status and would therefore not report the abuse out of fear,” the lawsuit states.

A lawyer for Jarecki said: “The allegations will be proven to be completely false and baseless. Dr. Jarecki has never behaved in an offensive manner toward the plaintiff or any other person.”

Jarecki began his career as an academic psychiatrist in the 1950s, teaching at Yale Medical School and co-authoring the widely read textbook Modern Psychiatric Treatment. From 1967, he became a major player in the international precious metals market before co-founding the movie programming service Moviefone and producing several plays and films.

Although his name is listed in Jeffrey Epstein’s infamous address book, little is known about the exact nature of his connection to the notorious sex offender, who is said to have frequently exaggerated his relationships with famous and powerful people in order to boost his own image.

According to the lawsuit, “Jane Doe 11” came to the United States through a modeling agency around 2010 and asked Epstein for help in obtaining a work visa.

The indictment states that Epstein abused her and then referred her to Jarecki to deal with the resulting psychological distress.

But instead of helping her, the charges say, Jarecki gave her an expensive watch (which he claimed would make her “instantly happy”), insisted on showing her his house, and then threw her on his bed and raped her.

The lawsuit further alleges that Jarecki took control of the woman’s life and told her he would “save her from Epstein.”

The indictment alleges that he used the detailed information he obtained on their first date, including about her past finances and immigration situation, to manipulate and threaten her into moving into an apartment he owned in Gramercy Park in New York City, where he kept her under constant surveillance and treated her like a “modern-day sex slave.”

“As Jarecki grew older, he had frequent and depraved sexual desires,” the lawsuit states, alleging that he took testosterone pills to increase his sex drive and often forced her to have sex with other men in front of him.

The woman also accused Jarecki of abusing her on one of his private islands in the British Virgin Islands, where Epstein also maintained a now-infamous personal retreat.

The abuse is said to have taken place between 2011 and December 2014, when the woman decided to try her luck and break off all ties with Jarecki.

The woman demands an unspecified amount of money.
